Originally from New Brunswick, Dr. Danielle Frigault studied biochemistry at the University of Moncton and received her doctorate in optometry at the University of Montreal. She has been practicing in the Rockland and Ottawa region for over 20 years.
Dr. Frigault is particularly interested in ocular health and the diagnosis of diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal anomalies. She works in close collaboration with local ophthalmologists and physicians to co-manage patients. She has extensive experience in the adaptation of contact lenses for patients of all ages, from young athletes to active seniors, and in the management of refractive laser surgeries. Her patients appreciate her professionalism, her precision, and her warm acadian personality.
In her free time, Danielle enjoys travelling, being outdoors, and spending time with her spouse Andrew and their two children.
Originally from Waterloo, Dr. Stuart Bennett received his diploma in optometry at the University of Waterloo, in Ontario, in 2019.
During his studies, Dr. Bennett acquired precious experience and knowledge in the field of ocular diseases by collaborating with retina, glaucoma, and cataract specialists in Atlanta, Georgia. During the summer of 2017, he traveled to South America to provide eye care services to the residents of Ecuador, where he was fully immersed in the culture while discovering the country. Dr. Bennett has been a member of the Rockland Optometry team since 2019, offering complete and emergency exams to all age groups. He is most interested in ocular diseases, contact lenses, and persons requiring non-traditional devices to improve their vision.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Bennett makes the most out of life, whether it be through biking, skiing, playing board games, travelling, or relaxing at the cottage.
Dr. Michael Cormier is a French Canadian and New Brunswick native who has been practicing optometry for over 35 years. He received his doctorate in optometry at the University of Waterloo in 1986 and started his career working for Dr. DesGroseillers and Associates (now eyeDOCS) in Ottawa, from 1986 to 1993.
After getting married and leaving the city, he joined the practice of Drs Kronick and Hazan, in Hawkesbury, from 1993 to 2006.
Following the birth of his second daughter, the family moved to Rockland. Here, Dr. Cormier opened his practice in 2006 under the name Rockland Family Optometry Center. In 2020, Dr. Danielle Frigault acquired Dr. Cormier’s practice, which now operates under Rockland Optometry. Since then, Dr. Cormier has been practicing in Dr. Frigault’s facilities.
Dr. Cormier is the proud father of two daughters. One is an actress in Vancouver and the other one is a writer in Montreal.
Claudiu joined our team in January 2021 as an optician. Many patients have had the opportunity to meet him and benefit from his experience and excellent customer service.
After receiving a university diploma in engineering and working for companies such as Coca-Cola and Philip Morris, Claudiu was introduced to the optics industry in 1999 as a lab technician, where he acquired significant experience. He graduated with distinction from Seneca College’s optician course in 2010. The following year, he obtained his optician’s license.
